Faith Knowles took most of her music education in Hungary (theory and choral conducting). She has been a teacher and consultant in many schools, and ran the pilot research class (music’s influence on math) in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, USA public schools.
Faith was a co-founder of an arts high school in Rhode Island. She has been a board member of the national board of Kodály music educators (O.A.K.E.), and of Friends of Excellence, which supports the arts in public schools. She was both Director and Artistic Director of the Kodály Center of America, and has edited and co-edited many music books, including My Singing Bird, Vamos a Cantar, Daybreak and New Words.
