Summarize your innovation briefly in no more than 100 words and include the title of your project. *

List the subjects you teach and the grade levels. Mention class size, demographics, periods and motivation level of students if these are relevant to your innovation *

Define more specifically than in your summary the novelty of your approach. Describe the pedagogical or motivational problem that you are addressing. *

If your project is in an experimental stage, explain how results will be evaluated both in the short-term and long-term. *

If you feel your innovation has proven its worth, explain how you plan to replicate it for use by other teachers. (Respond to one item in this section.) *

Describe physical materials, original research and collaboration, if any, that have or will be part of your classroom project. Please note our award serves to recognize only the promise of your project, rather than any financial needs. *

Describe in detail your plan for a classroom innovation. Be specific, and include answers to the following: 1) Are you planning specific testing and measurement activities for implementing your project? If you are already replicating an innovation, what testing and measurement has been applied to it? 2) Is the idea for the project yours or someone else’s? 3) Is your idea based on research? Please submit three recommendations to the Center upon you submitting your application. Only one recommendation may be from a former student. We suggest colleagues or administrators write ones on your behalf. You or they may email the recommendations directly to the Murdock-Thompson Center for Teachers at murdockthompson@gmail.com. All recommendations must include in the subject of the email your name and the school where you teach.
